Concerts at San Siro Ippodromo: Getting here by public transport 

Here are some useful tips and information to reach San Siro Ippodromo by public transport and pay for the metro directly at the ticket gate with your contactless card, without queuing for a ticket. The concert entrance is at Via Diomede 1, just a a short walk from piazzale Lotto.

Get to the concert: Use M1, M5, or 90/91 to Lotto

  • With metro lines M1 or M5, use Lotto station. Map.
  • Alternatively, use trolleybuses 90 and 91 and alight at Lotto.

Go back to Milan after the concert: Last M1 and M5 trains from Lotto

  • M1 from Lotto. The last departure to Sesto is at 12:23 am. To Rho Fieramilano is at 12:24 am. To Molino Dorino is at 12:43 am.
  • M5 from Lotto. The last departure to Bignami is at 12:04 am. To San Siro Stadio is at 00:23 am
  • Other metro lines. If you need to use other lines, you can find all train schedules, station by station, on our app.
  • Trolleybuses 90 and 91 run all night.
  • After the metro closure, trains are replaced by night buses NM1, NM2, NM3, and NM4. You can find timetables and stops on the ATM app and the network map at this page.

Ippodromo and Segesta stations close after 11 p.m.

The M5 stations Ippodromo and Segesta are closing due to public order issues related to another concert at San Siro.

Park and ride facilities with metro lines

  • Lampugnano and Molino Dorino parking. The last M1 departure from Lotto to reach them after the concert depart are at 12:24 am and 12:43 am.
  • Rho Fiera parking. The last M1 departures from Lotto to reach it after the concert are at 12:06 am and 12:24 am.
  • The Mi Stadio parking is a few minutes’ walk from the concert entrance.

Change at Lotto between M1 and M5

For reasons of public order, the indoor walkway to change between the M1 and M5 lines may be closed. To change, exit through the turnstiles of one line and re-enter through those of the other: the same ticket is valid.

Avoid the ticket queue. Pay with a contactless card at the metro turnstiles.

In Milan, you can pay directly at the metro turnstiles with a credit or debit card (also on smartphones and watches).

  • Tap the card on the reader when you enter
  • Tap the same card when you exit
  • No fees, you only pay the fare

Contactless payment is also valid on ATM buses, trams, and trolleybuses. It is not valid on S lines and trains. To learn how it works, visit this page.

Download the ATM official app

Train stations and airports

All train stations and Linate Airport are connected to the metro network. Malpensa and Orio al Serio Airports are connected to Milan with the Malpensa Express and various bus companies.
