The fare and the duration of the ticket depend on the zones you cross through.
Finding the fare
Single Journey Ticket
Single-day ticket
- Valid for 24 hours from the first validation
- No limit to the number of journeys
3-Day ticket
- Valid for 3 consecutive days from the first validation, until the end of the transport service on the third day
- No limit to the number of journeys
10-ticket carnet
- You can make multiple journeys on surface transport and also on the underground
- Tickets from the carnet cannot be used by multiple people at the same time
Which lines are the tickets valid on
Within the zone and duration indicated on the ticket, tickets are valid:
- on all ATM lines, both underground and surface
- on Trenord railway lines, including S lines
- on all extra-urban public transport operating in the territory of the Integrated Tariff System (including NET lines in Monza)
- on certain specific lines connecting municipalities within the Integrated Tariff System and to those outside
Up to 14 years old, the ticket is free
Girls and boys under 14 years old travel for free on public transport in all municipalities where the integrated fare system (STIBM) applies. Simply show the staff your under 14 or under 11 card along with an identity document or just the latter. On Trenord trains (on routes within the STIBM integrated tariff system territory), minors under 14 passengers can travel with just an identity document if accompanied by paying adults. They must have an under 14 card if travelling alone.
Teachers on school trips travel for free
Teachers, educators and chaperones of school groups of girls and boys under 14 years old can travel for free on the entire public transport network operating in the territory of the Integrated Tariff System. Simply show this form printed, filled out and validated by the school to the staff, along with an identity document.
