How to buy a travel pass on the ATM app

Download the app for iOS or Android, register or log in and follow these 3 steps:

1. save your personal travel card on the app
2. buy the travel pass to be loaded in the card. Pay by credit card or other digital systems (with PayPall you can pay in 3 instalments)
3. If you have a physical card, you must activate the pass before you travel. Put your card down at the totems in metro stations (except metro M4 stations). If you have a digital card, you do not need to activate the pass at the totems.

How to buy a travel pass by your home banking

You can buy at Intesa Sanpaolo ATMs (Automated Teller Machines), free of charge and even if you are not a customer of the bank. You can also buy from the home banking services of Intesa Sanpaolo, WeBank, Banco BPM, Banco Popolare and Banca Popolare di Mantova.

You can buy in many bars, newsagents, tobacconists, stationers: see the list of authorised retailers. You can also buy from vending machines in metro stations. Please note: if you need to top up a monthly pass, don't wait until the first day of the month so you can avoid the queues.

Some discounted passes are to be requested in person

• Reduced annual travel pass: you can only apply to CAFs
• Under-30 youth card based on ISEE indicator: you can apply for it both at CAFs and ATM Points
• Senior travel passes for residents in Milan and based on ISEE indicator: you can apply for them either at CAFs or ATM Points
• Unemployed travel pass: apply only and only at the ATM Point in Duomo
• Travel pass for foster children: apply only at ATM Points
• Travel pass for families with more than three dependent children: apply at ATM Points
