Buying a travel pass from the ATM app saves you from waiting to renew it in person and queuing at the beginning of the month. You can recharge the monthly, renew the annual or buy a weekly subscription.
 
Download the app for iOS or Android, register or log in and follow these 3 steps:

1. save the card on the app the first time
2. buy the subscription you want by paying with a credit card or other digital systems
3. activate the pass on the first trip, by bringing the card close to the totem at any tube station (except those on the M4). Or activate the subscription at a parking meter.

Recharge at ATMs or from your home banking

You can buy the subscription at ATMs of Intesa Sanpaolo and Unicredit, for free and even if you are not a customer of the bank. You can also buy the subscription from the home banking services of Intesa Sanpaolo, UniCredit, WeBank, Banco BPM, Banco Popolare and Banca Popolare di Mantova.

1. Keep the ATM card number close at hand
2. buy the subscription from the Recharge function of the ATM or with home banking
3. activate the subscription on the first trip, by bringing the card close to the totem at any metro station.

Recharge at automatic ticket machines or retailers

You can buy the subscription at many bars, newsstands, stationery stores: here you can find the list of authorised retailers. You can also buy at automatic ticket machines in metro stations. A suggestion: if you need to recharge a monthly subscription, don't wait for the first day of the month, thus avoiding possible queues.

Some discounted subscriptions must be requested in person

• Annual reduced subscription: you can request it only at CAFs
• Under 30 subscription based on ISEE certification: you can request it both at CAFs and at ATM Points
• Senior subscriptions for residents in Milan and based on ISEE: you can request it both at CAFs and at ATM Points
• Unemployed subscription: it can be requested and exclusively at the ATM Point in Duomo
• Subscription for in foster care: it can be requested only at ATM Points
• Subscription for families with more than three dependent children: it can be requested at ATM Points.
